Call international phone numbers from your browser
StartACall dials real phone numbers. The call leaves your browser and arrives at the number you typed, so the person on the other end answers on the phone they already carry. That covers a family number abroad, a landline at a hotel or an embassy, and a business line that only publishes a phone number.
Call a mobile or landline
You can dial either one. Enter the number in full, starting with its country code, and the call is delivered to that line.
Write the number the way it is written for international dialing: the country code first, then the rest of the number without the leading zero that some countries add for domestic calls. If the number connects when someone dials it from another country, it connects here.
Mobile numbers and landline numbers in the same country are usually priced differently, so the type of number you dial changes what a minute costs. Nothing has to be installed on the receiving end: no account, no download and no setting to change before they can answer.

Use desktop or mobile web
The dialer runs in the browser, so a laptop, a desktop, a tablet and a phone browser all reach the same account. You allow microphone access once when the browser asks, then speak through your device microphone and speakers.
No SIM card is used, which is why the same account works from a borrowed machine and from a country that is not the one you signed up in. If you move between machines during the day, you sign in again and carry on, because there is nothing to move across and nothing to keep in sync.

Check the current rate for your destination
Prices are per minute and depend on the country you are calling and on whether the number is a mobile or a landline. The table below is read from the current rate data and shows both, so you can read the price before you commit to the call.
Find the destination and phone type
Start with the country. Then work out whether the number you have is a mobile or a landline, because the two are priced separately and the gap between them can be wide inside the same country.
The country code at the front of the number tells you which row to read, and the rest of the number tells you whether you are looking at a mobile or a fixed line in that country.
If you are not sure which one you are holding, read both columns and treat the higher figure as your working estimate for the call.

The prices below are per minute in United States dollars and are current as of August 17, 2026. A destination is listed only when both a mobile and a landline price are available for it.

Start a browser call
Three steps, in order. None of them involve downloading software or waiting for hardware.
Create an account
Sign up with an email address. You do not need a phone number of your own to place outbound calls, and you do not need to enter a payment method to make your first short call, which is a free capped trial.
Add prepaid credits
After that first short call, calling runs on prepaid credits. You add an amount, and each call draws down from it at the per minute rate for the destination you dialed. You are buying minutes rather than a plan, so the balance is only spent when you actually place a call.
Dial the number
Open the dialer, type the number with its country code, and press call. Allow microphone access if the browser asks for it. The call connects and the person you dialed picks up on their phone.
If it does not connect, check the country code and confirm the number is complete before you try again. A number that is missing a digit or that still carries a domestic leading zero is the usual reason.
